A public hearing on Zoning Map Amendment and Text was held on October 13, 2020 at the Stovall Town Hall at 6:00 pm

Mayor Parrott opened the public hearing and recognized the Chairman of the Planning Board.
Chairman of the Planning Board, Allen Nelson, presented the Board with the following items:
An amendment to the Town of Stovall Zoning Ordinance titled “An Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to Replace Article II “Establishment of Districts” which amendment will provide for the updating of the table of permitted uses and special uses in the Town of Stovall. This amendment has received a favorable recommendation from the Stovall Planning Board.
An amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the Town of Stovall requested by Lee Humphries and Sue Ellen Humphries, owner of 33.3 acres on Puckett Street to rezone approximately 7 acres along Puckett Road from RA to R20. This amendment has received a favorable recommendation from the Stovall Planning Board.
There were no objections from the public. Commissioner Michael Williford made a motion to approve the zoning map amendment and text in reference to the request from Lee and Sue Humphries to rezone areas along Puckett St. from RA to R20. Commissioner Doug Lunsford Jr. seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
There were some questions from the public about the current allowance of only 2 accessory buildings per lot. Commissioner Michael Williford made a motion to send the issue back to the Planning Board for recommendations. Commissioner Ricky Sneed seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
