The regular monthly meeting of the Mayor and the Board of Commissioners was held on April 09, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., Town Hall 107 Main Street, Stovall, North Carolina.

Mayor Pro tem Stovall called the meeting to order and began with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Invocation
Commissioner Sneed spoke an opening prayer.
Mayor’s Pro tem Update
Mayor Pro tem Stovall stated the county held a meeting on April 01, 2024 for initial adoption of the financial agreement for the North Granville Senior Center. He stated that the project was approved with additional upgrades such as generator, new kitchen flooring, new decking and new covering deck. Mayor Pro tem Stovall mentioned that he is impressed that the town and citizens attended to support the Senior Center. Mayor Pro tem Stovall that Fun Day is hosted by Northern Granville Recreation Committee and date is approaching and they are working hard. Fun Day will be held on May 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Main Street.
Police Report
Chief Williams was absent so there was no report for the month of March 12, 2024 to April 09, 2024.
Water Report
Mayor Pro tem Stovall gave the water reports for the month of February 2024 Oxford billed the Town 1,051,000 gallons and Stovall billed the customers for 661,152 and month of March 2024 Oxford billed the Town 840,000 gallons and Stovall billed the customer for 587,850 gallons.
Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Commissioner Sneed and seconded by Commissioner Cromer to approve the October 10, 2023 minutes. Motion carried unanimously.
Tree Update and Recreation
Commissioner Sneed stated that the Holly Tree is planted. Commissioner Sneed reminded the board that Fun Day is coming up in May 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and that the Stovall Park picnic tables. Benches, trash bins are ready to be placed in the park.
Public Comment
Mayor Pro tem recognized Mr. Herbert Oakley. Mr. Oakley stated his name and stated he lives at 100 Elm Street in Stovall. He mentioned that the street he lives on needs to be cleaned up and is starting to look like a slum. Commissioner Sneed mentioned that the town has Grass Ordinances. Commissioner Roberts mentioned the Town Hall could send a notice out and Commissioner Cromer mentioned about if they have different kinds of Ordinances for the town. Mayor Pro tem Stovall stated that he will try his best to get this situation corrected for Elm Street to get it cleaned up.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned on a motion by Commissioner Sneed and seconded by Commissioner Cromer. Motion carried unanimously.
