September 2020 Continuation Meeting Minutes

A continuation meeting of the September 2020 meeting was held on September 24, 2020 at the Stovall Town Hall at 6:00 pm.

Mayor Janet C. Parrott present and presiding

Board Members Present: Commissioner Dale Hughes, Commissioner Doug Lunsford Jr., Commissioner Carl Roberts, Commissioner Ricky Sneed, Commissioner Michael Williford

Clerk Present: Sandra B. Williford

Public Zoning Hearing: Mayor Parrott stated that the public zoning hearing would be held at the October meeting.

Street Repair Bids: The Board reviewed bids from HR Ramsey and Holland’s Construction. Hollin’s total estimate was $70,480.00. Ramsey’s total estimate was $47,280.00. After some discussion, Commissioner Hughes made a motion to accept and approve HR Ramsey’s bid with the exception of Railroad St. Commissioner Williford seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.

TTHM Test Results: Commissioner Hughes suggested that Mayor Parrott write a formal letter to the City of Oxford on behalf of the Board concerning the .088 TTHM levels at the entry point.

Adjournment: There being no further business, Commissioner Williford made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Lunsford seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
