A Public Hearing was held at the Stovall Town Hall on March 15, 2022 at 6:00 pm. The regular monthly of the Mayor and Board of Commissioners was held immediately after the Public Hearing.

Mayor Williford called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm and began the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance
Invocation: Commissioner Ricky Sneed followed with an opening prayer
Commissioner Lunsford made a motion to open the Public Hearing. Commissioner Sneed seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Williford explained the purpose of the hearing. William Frazier doing business as Frazier and Frazier is requesting the rezoning of 2 tracts. Request that Tract #1, 108 School Street, be rezoned from LI to R10, and request Tract #2, 110 School Street, be rezoned from RA to R10. He stated that surrounding landowners had been notified, and required advertisement had been published. There were no public comments.
Commissioner Roberts made a motion to close the public hearing. Commissioner Lunsford seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner Lunsford made a motion to approve the rezoning of the 2 tracts as requested. Commissioner Sneed seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
Approval of Minutes: Commissioner Lunsford requests that the word “loss” be added to his water report. With that correction being made, Commissioner Sneed made a motion to accept and approve the March 2022 minutes. Commissioner Sneed seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
Police Report: Chief Williams gave a police activity report for the month. Activity was as follows:

Water Report: Commissioner Lunsford reported a 13 % loss for the month.
No Truck Signs: Mayor Williford reported that No Truck signs have been put in place on Town streets.
New Business
State Grant/ Resolutions: The Town of Stovall has need for and intends to construct or conduct a study on a wastewater treatment works project described as Wastewater Treatment Plant Renovations and improvement, and the Town of Stovall intends to request State loan and /or grant assistance for the project. Commissioner Roberts made a motion to approve a Resolution giving Mayor Williford authority to apply for such grant/loan on behalf of the Town. Commissioner Lunsford seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
The Town of Stovall has need for and intends to construct or conduct a study on a water storage and distribution system project described as Water Tank and Water System Improvement, Phase 2 and the Town of Stovall intends to request Sate loan and/or grant assistance for the project. Commissioner Lunsford made a motion to approve a Resolution giving Mayor Williford the authority to apply for such grant/loan on behalf of the Town. Commissioner Sneed seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
Budget Review: The amended budgets were reviewed. Commissioner Sneed made a motion to accept and approve the amended General Fund Budget with a balance of $308,677.00. Commissioner Lunsford seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner Lunsford made a motion to accept and approve the Water Fund amended budget with a balance of $312,607.00. Commissioner Sneed seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
Public Comment: None
There being no further business, Commissioner Lunsford made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Sneed seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
