A continuation of the June 14, 2022 meeting with the Mayor, the Board of Commissioners, and the Planning Board was held on June 23, 2022 at the Stovall Town Hall at 6:00 pm

Planning Board Members Present: Wayne Hutson, Allen Nelson, Dan Terry
Administrator Present: Janet C. Parrott

Comprehensive Plan: Chairman Allen Nelson asked the Planning Board for votes on recommending the acceptance and approval of the Comprehensive Plan to the Board of Commissioners. Wayne Hutson made a motion to recommend the Plan. Dan Terry seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
Resolution: The following Resolution was approved and adopted by the Board of Commissioners.

COUNTY OF GRANVILLE
TOWN OF STOVALL
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Town of Stovall has regulated the zoning within the city pursuant to authority of the State of North Carolina for the health, safety and welfare of its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Town has coordinated with the Council of Governments to assist with the creation, review and adoption of its first Comprehensive Plan as required by North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 160D of all municipalities in the state; and
WHERAS, the Town has surveyed its population and has met in public sessions through its Planning Board to review and discuss the contents of the Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Town has properly advertised a public hearing as a joint hearing by its Planning Board and Board of Commissioners beginning on June 14, 2022 and continued in open meeting for additional consideration on June 23, 2022.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Stovall North Carolina Comprehensive Plan is hereby adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Stovall upon recommendation by its Planning Board made in open meeting this date.
Upon motion duly made by Commissioner Roberts and duly seconded by Commissioner Lunsford, the above resolution was duly adopted by the Board of Commissioner of the Town of Stovall on the 23rd day of June, 2022 in the Commissioner meeting room of the City Hall.
Upon a call for a vote the following Commissioners voted in the affirmative:

Ricky Sneed
And the following voted in the negative:

Adjournment: There being no further business, Commissioner Lunsford made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Sneed seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
